Another coding term that I define as a part of a piece that is never seen but keeps it functioning. Ex. sketches and rough drafts of a piece.Binary code
A language that computers simply understand as true or false questions in the use of 1 being on and 0 being off. It is something that doesn’t apply to people as unlike computers they are unpredictable, something I wish to apply to my art.

Old, maybe even obsolete.Dead of Night
The time at which I am the most productive in my art as there are no distractions of noise. I am truly the only one up at this hour which I find somewhat relaxing as I enjoy my alone time when I get the chance.Depressing
Causing a loss of hope or sadness. A very strong feeling I feel sometimes about my own art as I always feel like it never is good enough for myself. I guess some would say I am my own worst critic.Desaturated

Friends
A great source of feedback as well as inspiration for my art ideas. I would also consider them my own family as I know them almost if not more than my blood family. Whenever I get stuck and don’t have access to a professor’s help, I go to them as I trust them to help me.Front-End Code

The use of drawing from scratch to make an idea clear. Digital illustration is also something I struggle with that I wish to get better at.Infinite
Often goes hand in hand with the unknown as infinite is something that can’t be measured. I believe that possibilities for anything are in fact infinite and that anything can happen at any moment at a random chance, that is why I like to remain flexible with my work as anything can come up that needs to be changed.Inspired
The impulsive urge to create something, best described as the feeling of what keeps me going. Almost anything can create this feeling for myself.

Nostalgia
A feeling of wanting to return to the past. As most of my inspiration comes from the past, I often feel nostalgic towards the topics of my pieces as well as reach an audience that feels the same.

Realism
A style characterized by copying the natural world. The style that got me interested in art originally as a kid.Recursive
A computing term that can also be applied towards art as it is the use of repetition to solve a problem but I would define it as the multiple iterations an art piece has before being considered finished.Relaxation
A state of having no stress, to be free of deadlines. I enjoy art most when I’m working without a deadline and of my own choice though that is not how the world works.Rhythm
The use of patterns or repetition in an art piece. I believe that these patterns exist everywhere in the world and the ability to recognize them is a fundamental part of learning for art.

Technology
An invention created by humans with an intention, sometimes to make a task easier. I’d like to think that art is as such as each individual piece I make feels like it can be classified as technology.

Vibrant
Lively and full of color. Eye catching, something I wish to achieve in my art.Video Games
A game that is played electronically through hardware. It is also a big source of entertainment in the world as well as inspiration for my art and is part of the reason I am doing cs as a minor as I hope to create my own video game one day.
AI
A computer or program that has the ability to learn that's very similar to a human. Some people fear it but I welcome it as another tool used to further increase my art quality and development.Animation
The use of static rapid moving imagery to make an inanimate object seem alive. Something that I find very tedious but also have deep respect for.

Cartoons
Animation that has a specific style or caricature. What I spent most of my childhood watching was countless hours of these.Corrupt
The alteration of something without consent. I see this as another term for copyright as I believe that it can sometimes be harmful to prevent the use of images to create art as long as it's altered enough.Clean
No noticeable mistakes, or marks. Something I find impossible for myself if done physically.

Education
A learning experience, something I hope my art can be for others and myself as I believe that learning from art means it has done it’s purpose.

Hardware
Computer science term meaning the equipment that enables you to perform input and output functions which allows softwares to run. My term is the equipment used to create the art piece, such as a paint brush or pencil.Hesitant
Unsure when it comes to acting or speaking. Something that I feel often about my pieces which is why I confront others for advice when I feel stuck.History
The study of the past and also an important source of information for my art pieces as I can always look to the past for inspiration or to help fix my mistakes.Horror
A genre that focuses on fear and shock and is the genre of media that I have the most knowledge about. It is something I have become desensitized to but used to feel strong emotions towards originally.


Manga
A Japanese style of comic books that can be for all generations which I have done myself enjoying it as a child as well as an adult.Meaningless
Having no reason to exist. Something that I believe that either applies to absolutely nothing as everything has meaning or nothing at all depending on how one views life.Mechanical
Working parts of a machine usually involve force or motion.Metaphor
Something that is symbolic of something else. Usually provides a deeper meaning for an art piece.Monochromatic
The use of one color and a type of colorization used in art.Movement
The use of direction and change to draw focus towards a specific area in an art piece. Something I feel has been ingrained into my head that I almost subconsciously am aware of when working on my art.Music
An art form involving the use of sounds to create something pleasant to listen to. It is a major source of my own happiness and also helps me stay concentrated when doing daily tasks. I don’t know if I could live in a world without music.
Parody
An art form involving imitation usually for a comedic purpose. A type of art I am very familiar with and have done multiple times in the past as I see it as a form of appreciation for other artists before me.Permanent

Wanting to achieve something, specifically improvement towards my art and coding skills.Struggle
Trying to do something involving a lot of effort to finish; is not very easy. Sometimes I have a hard time finishing a project so I’ll ask for some help from friends for ideas.Surrealism

Something that I am curious about knowing yet know nothing about. Can one truly know what is unknown? A paradox I find quite fascinating. The unknown is what makes me question the reason for everything and what helps keep me inspired for learning.
